Government Expands RoDTEP Scheme to New Export Sectors

RoDTEP Scheme Benefits Extended to More Exporters

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced a significant expansion of the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme.

Effective this quarter, exporters in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and certain high-tech industries will also be eligible for tax rebates under the scheme. This move is designed to level the playing field for Indian exporters in the global market, where they often face high embedded taxes.
